  BILL KIRCHENBAUER (Captain Glucose)

Actor-Comedian Bill Kirchenbauer is an internationally recognizable face. After appearing on dozens of major television shows: Fernwood Tonite; Mork & Mindy; Night Court; Growing Pains; etc. ABC created a sit-com tailor made for him, Just The Ten of Us. From there Bill has gone on to appear in many television shows and films including a starring role in the Rob Reiner film The Story of Us with Bruce Willis and Michelle Pfeiffer. Bill is also a well known stand-up comedian with dozens of appearances on the top television shows including The Tonight Show;The David Letterman Show; and Arsenio Hall. Bill has Type 2 Diabetes.

 BRAD SLAIGHT (Meter Boy)

Brad Slaight is an award winning actor, writer, and comedian. He has appeared on NBC's Funny People; Married, With Children; Unsolved Mysteries; Scream; Freshman Dorm; Sooner or Later; co-host of The New Gong Show; and a two year starring role on The Young & the Restless. As a comedian and writer his credits include The Tonight Show; Comic Strip Live; National Lampoon; Evening at the Improv. He is also a world renowned playwright. Brad has had type 1 diabetes for 20 years.

 ALAN THICKE (Commissioner of Diabetes)

Alan Thicke is best known for his role as Dr. Jason Seaver, the psychiatrist father of kids having Growing Pains (ABC). He has been a major celebrity in Hollywood for many years and his list of TV shows and movies is long and diverse. In addition to acting and hosting, Alan has had a second career as a songwriter; he wrote the theme songs for such TV series as Celebrity Sweepstakes; Diff'rent Strokes; and Facts of Life, among others. Alan’s became an active participant in diabetes awareness when his son Brennan got diabetes at the age of 4.

  BERNADETTE PEREZ

Bernadette Perez appears in the PSA commercial as a woman in the park with diabetes that Captain Glucose and Meter Boy are sent by the Commisioner of Diabetes to help. Bernadette is a professional Hollywood actress and most recently appeared in the movie Meet the Fockers. Bernadette also has diabetes.
